Employment Policy
TAS is a friendly and relatively informal organisation,
as we believe that this is an appropriate atmosphere
for work and that people will give their best
in such an environment. We believe people should
be treated as individuals and we encourage our
employees to speak out if there is anything
they do not understand or like. Whenever possible,
we will bring about the required change, or,
if this is not possible or desirable, explain
why this is so.
As an employer, we have certain obligations
to ensure that we act in the best interests
of the Company and at the same time manage our
employees fairly, reasonably and consistently.
It must be recognised, therefore, that certain
regulations and guidelines need to be stipulated
in order to enable the smooth and efficient
running of the company. These are set out in
our staff handbook.
The handbook applies to all staff and its main
aims are to:
- provide information about TAS
- provide more detailed information about
each employees place within the TAS organisation
- set out detailed policies on subjects which
we are either legally required to advise employees
about, or which we feel are essential to them
- set out our general rules and regulations,
so that employees know what is expected of
them during their career with us
- tell employees how to obtain further information
should they require it.
The information contained within the handbook
is by no means exhaustive. It may be necessary
from time to time to amend the handbook to take
into account any changes in legislation or Company
policies and procedures. |
