Top Attitude Award Nominations Required In memory of a valuable employee
Date: 05/01/2007

Stockton on Tees based TAS Engineering Consultants Ltd are inviting nominations from local organisations to recognise their employee’s exceptional attitude in times of professional or personal adversity. The awards are in memory of a highly respected TAS employee who sadly passed away in 2006.

John Webb worked for TAS as a Sales Engineer from 1998, opting to continue working from his Guisborough based home, in a consultancy capacity from 2001 when he started to become unwell, continuing to work though until his sad passing from Motor Neurone’s disease in August 2006.

John Maplesden Managing Director of TAS Engineering said “The office was always full of laughter and strength when John was around. He showed such amazing commitment and attitude to work that he completed his last TAS related email the day before our sad loss”.

In John Webb’s memory, TAS have established a new award which recognises inspirational employees who’ve made a difference through their professional attitude during the past 12 months. Nominations are encouraged from managers of employees located within the North East and North Yorkshire areas, open to all age groups and levels of responsibility within the workplace. There are two categories:-

• Strength of character in challenging times (on a personal or professional basis)
• Optimistic Working Personality.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 2nd March 2006. The judging panel will include John Maplesden, TAS’s MD, an HR Professional and a representative from Mr Webb’s family.

There will be an awards ceremony to be held in mid 2007 in Tees Valley.

More information can be attained from marketing@tas.co.uk

TAS are currently expanding due to numerous specialist engineering national and regional contracts. As an employer with a flexible attitude, they enjoy providing flexible employment opportunities to staff with the attitude of John Webb, and would welcome applications from engineering staff in a part or full time capacity.
