& control systems, hazardous areas and the
requirements of The Dangerous Substances and
Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR).
Our specialist engineers are
available to assist site and workplace owners
to ensure that they provide a safe working environment
for their employees, thereby reducing potential
risks to their personnel and the public, and
to valuable plant and equipment.

practice.

Compliance with New Regulations
TAS are committed to ensuring that their
clients, past and present, are made aware of
changes to legislation and best practice which
might affect their business.
When relevant new legislation
is announced, TAS Engineering Consultants will
familiarize themselves with its requirements
and assess the likely impact on each of their
clients. Where necessary, TAS engineers will
receive formal training in the new regulations
to build on their existing expertise. They will
then advise clients of the measures needed to
be taken to ensure that compliance is achieved
in a timely manner, providing assistance with
implementation, as and when requested.
When things go wrong
Although we believe that ‘prevention
is better than cure’, TAS can also assist
when things go wrong.
This could include:
- providing expert opinion during incident
investigation, working closely with HSE investigators,
if required.
- planning and implementing safe temporary
emergency measures to restore plant operability
or simply to make it safe.
- designing and managing modifications to,
or replacement of, defective systems or procedures.
- provision of additional training.
- identification of systematic errors, or
equipment type failure that should be addressed
in other parts of the plant or workplace to
prevent similar events occurring.
