standard which sets a level of good practice
for improving an organisation's performance
through its people.
TAS are working towards achieving the standard.
Functional Safety
IEC 61508 is a standard that provides guidance
on achieving the functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable
electronic safety-related systems. The standard
covers the design of equipment and the engineering
management processes, and provides the basis
for industry sector specific safety standards,
such as IEC 61511 for the Process industries.
TAS are working towards company accreditation
for the design and assessment of systems meeting
the requirements of IEC 61508.
Client Approvals
TAS has undertaken stringent pre-qualification
assessments for many clients before attaining
Approved Supplier status. We would be
pleased to discuss individual cases on request.
